Today in the 123’s we discussed trees! We learned about the different parts to a tree, roots, bark,trunk, branches and leaves. We observed a real piece of bark from the tree and discussed the texture! We all had a chance to make a bark rubbing using crayons and white paper. For our project we made a tree! We each painted a toilet paper tube and then stuffed green tissue paper in the top! We learned a new song called “Trees in our yard” sang to the tune of “Three Blind mice”. For lunch we had turkey nacho cups, mash potatoes, apples, oranges, cucumbers and carrots.
