Wednesday January 25th in the 123’s

Today in the 123’s we focused on the bear in the winter. We discussed hibernation and what it means for an animal to hibernate. We read “Hibernation Station” and learned about all the animals that hibernate during the winter months. We we did some scissor cutting practice with Mrs Asim! For our project we had made a bear in his cave. First we painted the hole brown to remembers bear looking out. Next we added cotton balls to represent a snow covered cave and finally we used a white crayon to draw some snow in the sky. We listened to a short song called, 5 little bears and we went on a bear hunt! We finally were able to get outside and enjoy some fresh air! For lunch we had our choice of sandwiches, tomato soup, veggie chips, carrots, cucumbers bananas and mangos.
