Today in the 123’s we began discussing the upcoming holiday Thanksgiving! Our friends listed to a story called “Giving Thanks”. As we read we discussed the many things we have to be thankful for. This story was good at explaining the meaning of thankful. When we were finished we each told Miss Sara one thing that we were thankful for. We introduced a new song called “5 Little Turkeys” and recited it a few times with motions. For our project we made a paper turkey. We used fall color crayons to represent the feathers of the turkeys. Each child colored a half of a plate with these colors. After we assembled our turkey with a visual sample. As we worked we reviewed the shapes that we were using. We had a new friend join us today! Her name is Avery! The kids were excited to introduced themselves to her and we played a little game using a ball working on following directions and allowing our new friends to hear our names. We had some time for dancing before lunch! We listened to a few of our favorite movement songs since the rain kept us from going outside. Have a good night!
