Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! This morning with Miss Cara we discussed the new year. We started with a countdown from 10 to ring in the new year. We sang a movement song called “Welcome the new year”. For our project we made wishing stars, the children got to choose between a 5-pointed star and a 6-pointed star, they used crayons, markers and colored pencils to decorate their star. Once they were done we discussed things that we can do differently to make this year better and things that we’d like to learn. Miss Cara then wrote our wish on the star. We also enjoyed reading “Draw Me A Star”. The letter Nn was introduced today and we began making a list of words that start with Nn. With Miss Abbie the children ate snack and practiced tracing the letter Nn. They also reviewed the letters of their name and practiced writing and/or tracing them. Have a great evening!

*Gym class with Mrs. Susan begins next week! The ABC class will be having gym on Wednesday mornings. If your child does not normally come on Wednesday, they will have their gym class on Tuesday afternoons. Please make sure your child comes to school dressed in comfortable clothes. They also need to wear socks and shoes. Please put them in shoes that they are able to put on and take off on their own!
