Wednesday the 14th in the ABC class

We were very busy today! We made seals, watched a video about Arctic animals and did a science experiment.  Everyone put their bare hand in a bucket of ice water (VERY COLD!) and then put their hand in a bag of blubber (Crisco) submerged in ice water and it wasn’t cold. We talked about blubber, fur and feathers and how they can trap heat in and keep the cold out. What would you rather be covered in fur, feathers or blubber? Ask your child what they said. Lunch today was chicken alphabet soup, sandwiches, veggie straws, yogurt, bananas, peaches and cucumbers.
