This morning we made pirate ships for our project. We used paper cutouts for the boat and Windows and straws for the sail. We read “Pirates Go To School” and “Robin Hood and the Pirates”. We did an experiment with pennies and soaking them in different solutions. One cup was filled with water and another with vinegar and salt. We will check on throughout the week to see how they react. We also enjoyed doing a balancing activity. Using the wooden blocks, Miss Cara set them up in a line and the children had to walk across “the plank” without falling into the “water”!
