This morning during circle time we celebrated Groundhog Day. We discussed the importance of Groundhogs Day and how it is a prediction of when spring will come. We made predictions on whether or not we thought the groundhog would see his shadow or not. We read “Groundhog In The Garden. While outside we looked for our own shadows. We learned a finger play called “5 Silly Snowmen” and also enjoyed reading “White Snow Bright Snow”. With Ms. Cara we made groundhogs for our projects, we made the head of the groundhog then drew in a groundhog hole. We also pretended shaving cream was snow and used our fingers to write letters in it. In Ms. Asim’s group we completed a letter Oo worksheet. We were asked to circle and color the pictures that begin with Oo. In Ms. Abby’s group we had snack and enjoyed free play. For lunch we had pasta, garlic bread, oranges, apples, carrots and cucumbers. Have a great evening!
