Tuesday the 10th in Kindergarten

We started the morning off talking about books! We discussed the parts of a book and did a worksheet that reviewed the characters, setting and plot of the book we read; “Pirates Don’t Change Diapers” by David Shannon.  We spent more time on money, flipping a coin and discussing probability, reviewing the names and values of the different coins and we  did a science experiment finding out what happens to coins when they are placed in different solutions.  The results of our experiment will be posted later this week.  We also squeezed in some one-on-one reading time with Mrs. Jill. In gymnastics we worked on backward rolls, handstands and straddle jumps. Lunch today was chicken nacho cups, rice, corn, beans, carrots, apples and peaches. Please remember that our Valentine’s party is tomorrow!
